COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the famous Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, our award-winning rendition of the Imperial Stout style once made exclusively for Catherine the Great. We use three mashes to brew each batch of this beer, achieving a luscious deep dark chocolate flavor through a blend of specialty roasted malts. We brew it every year for the winter season. It is delicious when newly bottled, but also ages beautifully for years.

tightslice (2621) - Austin, Texas, USA - NOV 25, 2021

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2021 Bottle from Wegmans in Montevale, NJ. Aroma is dry dark cocoa, dark coffee. Taste is super dry dark chocolate, roasted malts, slight bitter coffee. Nearly impossible to taste the 10%…extremely dry and roasty without much malt body.

buddybutch (270) - Nantes, FRANCE - SEP 27, 2021

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2021 Bootle of 33cl. Pours deep black. Chocolate, dried fruit aroma, roasted, liquorous. Pretty good beer for a high volume brewery

Aromas y sabor a café, chocolate, caramelo quemado, regaliz? Jugosa, hace salivar. Densa. Chisporroteo final.

rumore (3034) - Rimini, ITALY - JUL 31, 2021

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2021 355ml bottle from hopt.it. Winter 2018 vintage. Pours black, with moderate brown foam, very fine. Aroma is intense when the bottle is opened, giving lots of chocolate and liquor, plus it has coffee, caramel/molasses, nutty. Body is on the thin side, with soft tickling carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet, with a nice roasty bitterness too. Final is thin but long.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2021 355 ml Winter 2018 bottle. Murky dark brown with a fluffy mocha colored head. Raisins, roasted burnt malt, cocoa, toffee, espresso, dark chocolate, liquorice, dried pear. Dry roasty bitterness, some sweetness. Full bodied, slick texture, soft carbonated, dry roasty sweet and warm finish. A very nice classic Imperial Stout, very balanced and no pastry nonsense to be find here.
